Browser Forensic Tool: Analyze The History Of All Installed Browsers

Browser Forensic Tool: Analyze The History Of All Installed Browsers:
For those of us making good use of the internet, usage history is a vital feature in browsers to remember useful searches and links that aren’t bookmarked or didn’t get that opportunity due to a browser crash. Many of us, use multiple browsers at various moments in time depending on the ease of functionality. Video streaming may be done on one browser, while work related data on another. This scatters the history among various browsing streams and makes it tedious to search and retrieve links scattered in the past. Browser Forensic Tool is a powerful utility that lets you perform local browser history searches based on multiple user-specified keywords or categories.

This application supports simultaneous searches on popular browsers, which include Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, RockMelt, Comodo Dragon and Opera. There are pre-defined profiles already saved and displayed under the keywords categories section in the active window. You can select a profile of interest to view the keywords and perform the scanning accordingly. Similarly, you can check the Remove duplicate entries option to avoid any repetition in the results.
Close browsers
To begin scanning, just use the Scan button on the bottom left corner of the window. Please note that this tool performs the operation only after ensuring that all browsers are closed. Therefore, the prompt window shouldn’t surprise you as it automatically closes browser activity upon your agreement to begin scanning.
Browser Forensic Tool v2.0 - progress
The progress is then illustrated through the bottom bar with the relevant percentage. At any point, you can stop the search and begin any important activity. The multi-thread feature also enables you to perform multiple tasks simultaneously without halting the process. To define a new category with a list of required keywords, click the relevant button on the toolbar.
Browser Forensic
You can easily add, remove and modify keywords in any category by accessing the Create a new profile option. The history entries is displayed in a listed format according to all supported browsers. The relevant browser-specific history can be collapsed to organize the data. Any specific link can be easily opened in the default browser by right clicking the entry. Similarly, data can also be exported by right clicking a category or entry. To view the spread of usage related to one or more keywords, the Browser Statistics window illustrates the results in an appropriate way.
Browsers Statistics
Browser Forensic tool enables you to perform comprehensive searches for desired keywords and categories for retrieval of links from browsers. Moreover, you can also deduce which browser gets most of your attention statistically. We tested this application on Windows 7, 64-bit edition, while it is fully compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Full NTFS Read/Write Support for Android

Full NTFS Read/Write Support for Android: ntfs
NTFS is Microsoft’s proprietary and preferred file system, replacing the more well-known FAT file system. It has many benefits over the latter such as improved support for metadata, and the use of advanced data structures to further improve performance, reliability, and disk space utilization.
Presently, only a few Android devices have full support because it is not enabled by default in most kernels. Now, with USB-OTG support in some high end devices, full read/write support of NTFS becomes very useful. Thanks to XDA Senior Member shardul_seth for his diligent research and posting of his findings, we now can have full read/write support of NTFS!
According to the OP, he compiled a generic NTFS-3G driver for Android that should work on all ARM devices with a fuse.ko module. Since kernel source is available for most devices, the driver can be insmod-ed into even stock kernels to give the required Fuse support. This is the latest stable version of NTFS-3G that has been time tested on Linux PCs. This should even work on non-ARM architecture devices if compiled with the correct cross-compiler.
As USB-OTG becomes more prevalent, it will become necessary to mount NTFS drives at some point. If this has excited your inner geek, head on down to the original thread and give this a test drive.

Tasker App Factory For Android Lets You Create Standalone Apps From Automated Tasks/Actions

Tasker App Factory For Android Lets You Create Standalone Apps From Automated Tasks/Actions:
Earlier this month, Microsoft launched On{X}, a brand new medium for Android users to define and trigger automated actions via their desktop browsers. However, when talking of a highly customizable task automation tools that can be operated right from the device itself, hardly a name surpasses Tasker. Using this highly popular and productive app, you can create both simple or complicated rule-based tasks/actions that you want to be automatically performed on your device, and in doing so, you may bring into play whatever apps, sensors, controls and features of your Android that are required to constitute the task. That said, the app is not the easiest to use, and a new user might feel lost getting a grip over the plethora of options that it has on offer. While you may be quite good at defining rules-based tasks at your own convenience, your recently-shifted-from-iOS friends could so easily feel intimidated by the usage of the app. Fret not, as Crafty Apps – the team behind Tasker – have released Tasker App Factory, a Tasker extension that lets you export your tasks as standalone apps, so that you may save and share predefined tasks/actions with your buddies as individual APK files.
The app has been designed to work only with the latest Tasker Beta (link provided at the end). The best thing about the apps created via Tasker App Factory, is that they are executable as any normal app that you side-load to your Android device. In short, you do not necessarily need to have Tasker installed on your device for these exported APKs to work.
Tasker-App-Factory-Android-ExportTasker-App-Factory-Android-Export2
To assist our readers with learning how to export tasks as APKs via Tasker App Factory, we are going to describe a brief procedure, which is as follows:
  • Launch the Tasker app, and head over to the Tasks tab
  • Hit the + button to create and define a new task. Make sure to specify an icon/image to the newly-created task
  • Hold down on the new or an already existing task. From the context menu, hit Export > As App, and wait for the procedure to complete
  • Upon completion, the app provides you the option to launch the newly created APK so that you may trigger the underlying action
  • Each APK created in this way gets stored in the Tasker > factory > kids folder on your SD card, and can be exported/shared further via compatible apps. It is worth mentioning here that any piece of content – images, URLs et al – embedded within the task, also gets exported along with the APK file. Hence, the amount of time required in creating the app package may vary depending upon the content included.
Tasker-App-Factory-Android-Export3Tasker-App-Factory-Android-APKs
While new users are only allowed to create an APK of whatever tasks/actions they prefer, using the Advanced option, you can tweak various settings of the app package, including the version number, required device features, required authorizations/permissions and other such additional settings.
A good thing about Crafty Apps with Tasker App Factory is that they have placed no restrictions whatsoever on the usage of the APKs created with Tasker. For instance, you may distribute the app, share it with your friends or sell it on Google Play Store. So if your dad back in LA can’t figure out how to automatically disable cellular network on his Android once he steps home, you may be able to lend help by sharing the Tasker-created APK.
Tasker App Factory is available in the Google Play Store for free, and requires Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) or higher to run. As mentioned earlier, the new feature is only meant to work with the latest Tasker beta app, which can be downloaded from here.

Download All Images From Any Website & Save To Dropbox & Google Drive [Chrome]

Download All Images From Any Website & Save To Dropbox & Google Drive [Chrome]:
Did you ever experience a moment when you wanted to download all images on a web-page instantly? While looking for unique quality images, we often explore different image hosts and libraries, such deviantART, Picasa, PhotoBucket etc. However, executing searches on all these sites and downloading images separately can be quite inconvenient. We have already covered a desktop application called Image Collector for image collection enthusiasts who may be interested in getting hold of exotic images from online galleries such as Picasa, deviantART, imgur, PhotoBucket and 4Chan. However, the caveat was that it was restricted to only these few websites. Image Collector Extension for Google Chrome, however, solves your problem for all webpages. This extension allows you to retrieve the script file to grab gorgeous images on the page you’re just visiting and to save them to your PC, or upload them directly to your Dropbox or Google Drive.
The extension can easily be installed from Chrome Web Store. On the permissions front, it seeks to access your data on all websites, tabs and browsing history. The successful installation will be indicated by the display of an icon in address bar, which will be used to grab images.
Icon in Address bar
Now you’re ready to go with having a huge collection of images. However, before that, you may want to check out the extension’s options. You can specify the filtering options by selecting file extension, excepted patterns and minimum size. It also allows you to exclude thumbnails from images-to-be-downloaded, and embed the URL of each image and tab name into the saved file’s name.
Options- Image Collector
The extension comes with the choice of deciding the destination folder for images, where you can even connect with Dropbox and Google Drive as the save location. If chosen Dropbox, the app will create a folder named Image Collector Server in your Dropbox. The app will have access to only this folder. However, if you chose none of these options, then the images will be downloaded in your local hard drive in Downloads (where Chrome usually downloads stuff).
With everything set up, whenever you get to visit a website having images that satisfy your selection criteria, the extension’s icon will be displayed to the right of the address bar. After clicking this, a pop-up is displayed, giving you choice of extracting the desired images. At the same time, the script can also be downloaded. All images are saved to your PC.
Wikipedia-Uploading Images
You can even share the images directly on Facebook and Twitter from the options window.
To have images from deviantART, the minimum height in options of extension should be set as 100 pixels. That’s it, you’re ready to save th0se captivating images of deviantART with just one click.
DeviantArt- Uploading Images from Image Collector
It should, however, be kept in mind that extension only takes the results shown per page. To have more results shown on one page, you can make use of another Chrome extension, gInfinity, which we have already reviewed. It eliminates the requirement to navigate to next pages in Google search results, by pulling as much as up to 100 results on the first page.
Overall, an awesome extension for all those who’re passionate to have amazing image collections. Do check it out and let us know how you found it.

Downgrade iPhone 3G/3GS Baseband 06.15.00 With Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 To Get Unlock & Fix GPS

Downgrade iPhone 3G/3GS Baseband 06.15.00 With Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 To Get Unlock & Fix GPS:
Back in the days when the iPhone 3GS held the title of “the best iPhone yet”, there came a little problem with Ultrasn0w unlockers: some firmware required an upgrade to iPad’s 06.15.00 baseband for the unlock to work. The reason behind this nuisance was the fact that the jailbreak gurus had managed to crash the iPad’s 3G baseband, while 3GS’ own 05.13.04 remained out of luck. While the unlock worked, it came with a rather hefty price of breaking push notifications and disabling GPS services. You just have to take a look at the number of apps that use GPS in their working to get an idea of the consequences of using iPad’s baseband on your iPhone 3Gs or 3G. Then, Ultrasn0w began supporting the 05.13.04 baseband, but there was no way to downgrade an iPhone 3GS or 3G from 06.15.00 to the former one. Now, thanks to redsn0w 0.9.14b1, users can downgrade the baseband on their jailbroken iPhone 3G/3GS to get working unlock, push notifications and GPS!

Downgrade 06.15.00 Baseband iPhone 3GS redsn0w 0.9.14b1
If you are one of those iPhone 3GS a or 3G users who have been on the iPad firmware for quite a while, you have waited long enough already, and hence, we will dive straight into the procedure for letting you downgrade your phone’s firmware to a more optimal version.
Prerequisites:
  1. Only iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G should be unlocked using this procedure. It does not apply to any other iDevice model.
  2. All devices that have the serial number xx134— or above should not be used with redsn0w 0.9.14b1. This means that the third, fourth and fifth digits should form a number that is less than 134.
Instructions:
  1. If your iPhone meets the criteria cited above, download redsn0w 0.9.14b1 from the links provided at the end of this post.
  2. Find out the current iOS version running on your iPhone, and download its IPSW file by searching the web.
  3. Now, unzip the redsn0w file you downloaded in step 1.
  4. Run redsn0w.exe (under administrator mode in Windows).
  5. From the tool’s home screen, hit the Extras button.
  6. The next screen will present you with 7 more options, and you have to hit the Select IPSW button.
  7. Direct redsn0w to the IPSW file you downloaded in step 2.
  8. Follow the onscreen instructions to find out the exact version of your bootrom.
  9. Hit Jailbreak from the tool’s main screen.
  10. Once the IPSW file is jailbroken, a new set of options will come up. From among those options, select Downgrade from iPad baseband and Install Cydia, and hit the Next button.
  11. Put your iPhone in DFU mode (follow onscreen instructions if you don’t know how to do that). Now connect it to your PC or Mac, and hit the Next button.
The process may take a long time (according to the Dev-Team blog, it may be up to 8-10 minutes without any progress indicators, so make sure you don’t panic and disturb your device in any way). Once the device has successfully rebooted, simply unlock it using Ultrasn0w by heading to the Cydia store.
